How SignalGuard assesses a company

SignalGuard combines technical measurements of a company's public systems with AI-assisted research into public records, filings and disclosures. Findings are grouped into five risk areas. Each area is made up of sub-buckets, and each sub-bucket is informed by individual checks.

Sub-bucket

The 17 sub-buckets combine existing Purple Pages sections with newly proposed ones, such as Web risk or Support responsiveness. Each check has one primary sub-bucket and may also inform others.

Check

One of 57 checks in the master inventory. A check shows a result for a company only when evidence has been collected; otherwise it is Not assessed. Demo profiles summarize assessed findings into a trust score.

AI-assisted findings keep their source links and an uncertainty note. They point to public evidence; they are not independent verification, and the AI summary never replaces the original source.

How to read a report

Result states

Reports show how many checks have evidence and what each one found. Real companies show a trust score out of 10 that merges their existing Purple Pages rating with SignalGuard's checks; demo profiles use the draft method. How each check will be weighted (Critical ×4 down to Low ×1) is set out under How we assess.

Evidence and sources

Open any check to see its source, retrieval date, method (Script, AI-extracted or Hybrid), the rule applied and its limitations. AI-extracted results show whether a person has reviewed them.

No public result is not a clean bill of health. Unknown and not-assessed checks are listed so gaps stay visible.
